The Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Garden is the only arboretum and botanic
garden in America that is entirely manned by volunteers...many of which
are Master Gardeners. There are rose gardens, a Japanese garden, an
herb garden, a formal English garden and much more, but what they are really known for is their large
collection of hostas. Theirs is the largest public hosta garden in the USA, and includes over 700 different varieties.
