Early spring, a Japanese single peony,
dwarf iris, allium,
euphorbia (cushion spurge) and
catmint are in bloom.

Early July and the hollyhocks (left) still look great. The red lily is an
Asiatic named 'Stone.' Lambs ears in the foreground with
golden marguerite, the
white flower in the front of the garden (far right) is feverfew.

The wildflower meadow outside the electric deer fence. Notice the deer don't seem to eat much. Why? Because they only want what they can't have!

This is taken from the other end of the garden looking towards the new
outbuilding in mid-August. It is a "red explosion" of bee balm,
clematis and the tall dark rose plant on the right,
Joe pye weed.

Almost the whole garden in mid-September. 'Solar Series' coleus and sweet
potato vine in front with bright blue forget-me-nots (don't ask me why mine are
blooming in the fall!) and purple clary sage. 'Emily' mums in the front, white
boltonia and
Joe pye weed in the back.

Early October, looking back at the woodland area of the yard behind the
perennial garden.
