The Eleventh Season (2008)

Late May and the Japanese peony is in full bloom.  Other perennials blooming with the peony are cushion spurge, catmint, heuchera and bleeding hearts.

The same spring garden looking back towards the old farmhouse lilac that was here long before we were.  Bright blue forget-me-nots bloom in the foreground.

July is always the brightest and best time for the gardens. Some of the perennials blooming Coreopsis 'Zagreb', Salvia 'May Night' and Geranium 'Nimbus.'

Another view of the July garden. I started with just one variety of annual poppy (foreground) and have added new varieties of single and double poppies every year.

The Rain Garden in late July.  Liatris, purple coneflower, ratibida, black-eyed Susan and Queen Anne's Lace are in bloom.

Early October looking back through the kitchen garden to the flower garden.
