The Chicago Flower and Garden Show

Mar 9th, 2010 by Administrator | 0

I just got back from Chicago where I attended the Garden Writers Assn. Regional Meeting at the Chicago Flower and Garden Show. The Chicago Flower and Garden ShowWhat a wonderful venue and incredible garden show! I do find it ironic though that people think of Minnesota as one of the coldest places in the U.S. because windy Chicago seemed a lot colder than back home. Not a problem though because the garden show was held inside this year at the Navy Pier and they had over 25 themed gardens on display in the Festival Hall. I took a lot of photos, but I’ve made a page with just a few of my favorite gardens. “Alice’s Wonderland” was pretty spectacular with the Red Queen towering above the gardens and croquet court, but I loved “Spring Wakening” which had different styles of potagers including the curling labyrinth garden in my photo.
