New 2009 Garden Photos

Feb 3rd, 2010 by Administrator | 1

I just posted new photos of my gardens from last season (2009). This was my twelfth season and as always there were changes to my gardens. The biggest project was redoing a large area that had been shade plants until we cut down several large Siberian elms. Now that it was bright and sunny I decided to make a Butterfly/Hummingbird garden with all my favorite old-fashioned annuals that the butterflies or hummingbirds like and not coincidentally are also wonderful cut flowers. I used the method I describe on my hints page to kill the weeds and other noxious plants growing there and as you can see from the photos everything grew like crazy!
